Cuba’s expansive natural areas, geographic isolation, and limited development create a perfect destination for bird enthusiasts. The country’s diverse habitats support more than 360 avian species, 26 are endemic to the island. Join us on this 10 day excursion to encounter specialties like the Cuban Tody, Zapata Wren, and Cuban Grassquit, and explore dry scrub, mangrove, wetland, and coastal ecosystems. Gain deeper insight during meetings with Cuban conservationists to discuss projects and conservation efforts.

Explore the best birding sites in the western part of the country with one of the countries best bird guides ERNESTO REYES.  You are likely to get more than 20 of the 26 endemic birds available.  Visit the mogotes of Vinales, the forests and seashore of Guanahacabibes, and Zapata Swamp with its’ unique karst topography along the rim of the ocean.  With a night in Havana at the end to round out an extraordinary experience.
